Zack Landry joins us to discuss his music, his inspirations, and what we can expect from him in the future! Make sure to check out our interview below:
What has your musical journey been like? Run us through your story.
It has been a rough journey but all worth it at the same time. I started singing at the age of 7 and playing music when I was 14yrs of age. From that moment, I knew I wanted to be an Artist.
You have always been known for providing hope and optimism through your tracks. What is the subject matter of your latest release “Hold on”?
Exactly what the title says! This song was designed to encourage, inspire, and motivate people that can relate to the words being sung as well as pick up that I have been through so many persona storms myself.
What were the biggest initial hurdles to pursuing your musical dreams and how did you overcome them?
Getting a management team was the biggest of them all because I have been through several managers over the years. I have learned to continue to stay focused and keep pushing no matter what.
Which release of yours has had a large impact on your life, whether the storyline was based on a life experience or the process of putting the song together helped you approach music production differently?
“Hold On” has made and is still making a huge impact on my life. Hold On wasn’t about the music, vocals, or the sound as much. It was really about those lyrics because I knew that it would be a great shift in the atmosphere.
Is there anyone in your family who might have influenced you to take music seriously?
My mother has always been on me when it comes to singing and playing but especially THINK all the time.
What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Everything that I touch will
Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?
“HEAVEN” is a video remake for CeCe & BeBe Winans song. It was one of my favorite productions so far.
Thank you for speaking with us! For our final question, is there anything else you would like to add?
Thanks so much for having me.
