A track guaranteed to age like fine wine, a tune that fits all occasions, and a total banger that makes you want to lose yourself as you dance with carefree abandon because it’s incredibly hard to listen to this track and not move your body—this is “Marisa” by World Funk Orchestra. As you get immersed in this collaborative project that brought together incredibly talented artists, musicians, videographers, choreographers, editors, and producers, all contributing to the success of this track, it is then that you witness firsthand the beauty that emerges when talented individuals come together to create something extraordinary—a creation that transcends time and music itself!

This track was composed by Mitchell Stuart and features Matthew Samson of the Samson Brothers on vocals and lead guitar.

There are many words I could use to describe this track, but for now I choose magical. This is an epic dance track with traditional Cuban elements backed proficiently by afro influences and a rich, expressive voice that is ideal for the genre.

The hook is simply infectious and will remain in your head long after this track is no more; that’s how you know that this composition is golden. The instrumentation is dazzling, with an impressive blend of the guitars, bass, percussion, and the thrilling wind section, especially the trumpets, allowing you to float in Cuban dance fantasy!

The visuals are out of this world and the perfect supplement to this track, both in narrative and storyline. World Funk Orchestra decided to lend the expertise of Holly James (Broadway’s Moulin Rouge) and this first-class dance choreography is what was born.

“Marisa” is a celebration of global dance cultures while also paying tribute to the visual cinematic extravagance of early film choreographer, Busby Berkeley.

Leave everything else you are doing, follow the attached link, turn the volume up to the maximum, put on your dancing shoes, and let the music take over!

“Marisa” is what the summer needed; thank you, World Funk Orchestra for engineering such a phenomenal global dance anthem.
