Music Composer and Harpist Wieke Garcia Is Set to Release Her New Portugal-Inspired Eclectic Fado Project.

Wieke Garcia specializes in a deeper, atmospheric, and powerful driving style of music that really values raw artistic expression. Her core mission has always been to bring the love of music and experience to a wide range of audiences, which is why she has nurtured a unique style of jazz presentation with the accompaniment of her beautifully performed harp and her soulfully raw vocals that serenade a listener’s soul beautifully. By blending jazz music with a plethora of traditional influences, she is able to engineer a blissful music experience like no other; as the boundaries become less defined, that is where you find Wieke exploring and merging different sounds and genres for a completely different listening experience.

Wieke Garcia has something new that she can’t wait to share with the whole world: a classical sound that dates back to the 1820s in Lisbon, Portugal: Fado. Blending this sorrowful style of music with her classical harp, she was able to come up with four beautiful and indescribably mournful tunes that are less heard and more experienced!

This is a musical experience to delve into with your eyes closed, ears open, and heart open; the mournful tunes and lyrics infused with that sentiment of resignation, fate, melancholy, and even soulful romance give a permanent, haunting feeling that is best for late-night introspections!

Following that unique traditional structure, a tune like “Canção Do Mar” has a soulful romantic vibe to it. Wieke Garcia is her gracious self on the vocal front, mournfully singing with her Dulce flavored voice, which reaches the core of emotional satisfaction.

The blend between the dramatic harp performed with so much theatrics and showmanship in “Cinema Paradiso” and the traditional Fado structure is just epic and earworming, to say the least, and I just love how “Gente Da Minha Terra” keeps on transcending, taking its listeners with it.

This is a next-level project for her and really highlights Wieke Garcia’s grit, determination, and drive to keep bettering herself and exploring new musical adventures to keep her listeners guessing and always coming back for more.

This is one of the most authentic projects I have listened to, and I have no doubt the music world will feel the same once it officially drops.
