Witness The Unwavering Personality of Whoisskitzo Through Her Upcoming Mixtape “Skitzofraid”

After we learned about Whoisskitzo’s upcoming mixtape, we caught up with an insightful interview with such a talented artist to explore her eidetic experience and what she had to say about her incredible musical journey so far. Read below to learn some interesting details about Whoisskitzo

“Trust” is captivating from the start to finish with a combination of unique beats and catchy lyrics. What was the inspiration behind the single?

Thank you so much I really appreciate that . The inspiration behind trust basically was things Ive witnessed both in the music industry and in my personal life. And using those experiences as inspiration . Trust is hard to come by and I’ll be touching that subject along with other topics in my upcoming project .

What has your musical journey been like? Run us through your story.

My musical journey has its ups and downs . I started writing when I was about nine but I started taking my craft seriously at about 20. There were times when I felt like giving up but I realized consistency is key and if i don’t believe in me then who will . When I started to become more confident in what I wrote / how I saw myself and performed , things changed For me . I can say I’m proud of my progress but the journey doesn’t end here I’m just getting started .

What were the biggest initial hurdles to pursuing your musical dreams and how did you overcome them?

My biggest initial hurdles was not having a solid team behind me and not being able to market and promote myself correctly . Now that I have management a lot has changed and I see things from more of a business perspective which is important. Everybody wanna be an artist until they realize they have to invest in themselves and perfect their craft . There are going to be long nights and early mornings but the goal is to always keep your eyes on the prize .

Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

My favorite musical project that I’ve worked on so far is an Ep called “ Gauche” i released in 2018. The project was personal and showing my vulnerable side . I was able to open up completely and from doing so I gained a lot of new supporters and placements so I’m thankful .

Do you have any dream collaborations? Who are they?

My all time dream collaborations would be Missy Elliot and Busta Rhymes because of their creativity and also being able to step and think outside the box . I remember watching their videos as a child and being amazed as well as inspired . I would also like to work with Tierra Whack . I feel like she’s also creative and I dig her witty word play and style . I feel like we would kill a song together .

What’s your motto or the advice you live by?

It may sound cliché but I would say “everything happens for a reason “ . I’ve been through so much in my life where I’ve gained and missed out on opportunities. But then I see the bigger picture and realize that it’s all apart of my story which makes me want to keep going each and every day .

Are you working on any project right now and what can we expect from you in the future?

Actually yes I’m working on a mixtape called “ Skitzofraid “ coming soon . I’m very excited about this project and I feel like it will bring back the fun and creativity in music . I can’t wait for y’all to hear it stay tuned .
