“Check Out Time” has a plethora of likeable elements, starting with the affecting keys as the song hits it off with a listener off the bat, it’s emotional weight and appeal are accentuated by the haunting rhythm of its unforgettable melodies with some brass sparks that elevate its emotional allure and leave a lasting impact on a listener’s mind as much as their heart and soul. I don’t know what theanyaaudette did to make this song so hauntingly beautiful and emotive, but she did, and that is all that matters.
“Say A Little Prayer” has been draped in a danceable pop soundscape that is comprehensibly irresistible as theanyaaudette uplifts its appeal with her sultry vocals and catchy hooks to make it an anthem worthy of coming back to.
“Anyone Who Had A Heart – Dance Version” is diverse and dynamic, with an attention-grabbing blend of throbbing beats and synths, melodic textures, and deep-driving cadence perfect for the dance floor.
I found the song “Odds and Ends” impressive with its subtle doldrums and immensely expressive delivery over the soul percussion and striking whistles that give it an inescapably infectious feel.
The album also features an incredible rendition of Patti LaBelle & Michael McDonald’s timeless classic “On My Own” as theanyaaudette and her collaborator Jarreau Williams fashion it in their own imagination while still honoring its emotional depth and nostalgic impact.
I mean, what a project in its entirety! “Burt Bacharach Reimagined” deserves to be heard more, and that is why I am recommending to you this outstanding project from an equally marvelous musician who is always at the summit of her creative expression.
