Where do you originally hail from and where are you based now?

Newark NJ but I live in PA

Congratulations on your latest album “Its Been a Long Time Coming”, how do you feel about the newfound success?

Thank you and I just keep pushing because when you stop the success stops. I get inspired by this around me so I have to thank my label and the gang Fli , Sensei, Inferno, and family.

What has your musical journey been like? Run us through your story.

Well I came up in the drama field I went to Arts High School in Newark and I’ve been writing since Run-DMC. It was hard when I was young learner and knowing when to take a break are good thing a young artist should know. But not to long. When I was young I grew up with Big cousin and they would take to place to play Madden so I use to be at older event with the older crowd and end up free styling with artist from Newark like “Do it All” and Young Z. I use one of the same producers the outlaws use. Shot out to Buff for believing in us. I started out in a group names “Fort Rugged” and then I went to college and I was in a group called Masters of the U (VUU). After I was kicked out of college I took a break and then I went back home and linked wit my cousin Nafis and them I started learning how to do everything myself instead of being dependent on other like making my own beats, making myself a brand, paying for my own studio time, buying my own studio and getting my own label with artist. That’s where I am today. Get my clothing line up and running don’t forget stop by gasaapparel.com.
The biggest hurdles for me is keeping the good energy around because some things and people can steal your joy.

What were the biggest initial hurdles to pursuing your musical dreams and how did you overcome them?

The biggest hurdles for me is keeping the good energy around because some things and people can steal your joy.

Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?

My favorite project is probably two “Money on my mind” with DJ Lazy K because it’s straight street and a classic but also the “You ain’t my friend” mixtape with J Guttaman because he brings and entirely different energy to a project. Can’t forget the Rick Ross ft. ” I call it come back” is official I don’t know i love all my stuff. I’ve always wanted to work with Lauren Hill and Nate Dogg rip.

Do you have any dream collaborations? Who are they?

Are you working on any project right now and what can we expect from you in the future?

I’m currently working on a new album ( 18th and Bergen) and getting my clothing line and website ( gasaapparel.com) jumpin. Also doing recreation marijuana tours all summer.

As for the future you never know I might just be making rockets and sending people to the moon too. Appreciate your time and thanks
