Georgia-Based Lyrist Shedrick S.H.E.D. Barnett Delivers a Poetic-Themed Christmas Carol Dubbed “A Taste of the Holiday Season”

Shedrick S.H.E.D. Barnett is a poet from Athens, GA who has always possessed a penchant for writing poetry ever since he was a young kid. He did not fulfill his dream of releasing his written poetry not until his early thirties when he decided to share his passion with the rest of the world and so far, so great! A rhymester of his generation, Shedrick has a way with his words that is unmatched and his strong bass-flavored voice is just perfect for his style of smoothly talking over the rhythms.

Shedrick S.H.E.D. Barnett recently released his new album “A Poet Was Here, Vol. 1” which has 23 spoken word pieces over some supporting melodies as well as collaborations from other artists around Georgia. The tune “A Taste Of The Holiday Season” is a track off of this album in which he features rapper Lucky Clover, male vocalist Mista Lee and Sunny James who produced the complementary beat.

Shedrick S.H.E.D. Barnett is his usual calm, mature, and composed as he walks with an effortless demeanor over the expressive laid-back instrumentals going on to give his tale in a poetic fashion as he reminisces of the holiday season that brings with it that mood of receiving and the spirit of giving.

This piece was actually inspired by a Christmas show Barnett was invited to perform and he gives it his quintessential brand in only ways he can; he is raw, faultless and attention-grabbing. Rapper Clover does well to underscore the theme of the tune with his clever bars and Mista Lee gives it a unique feel with his honeyed male vocals.
