When Shar finally decided to release her debut single “When the World is on Your Shoulder” which she had written so many years ago, she did not expect it to receive so much love and appreciation as it currently is; and what’s not to love about an eclectic tune that is brimming with so much lively and infectious melodies as “When the World is on Your Shoulder”; your guess is as good as mine, absolutely nothing! After listening to her second track “No Shenanigans”, I harbor no doubt that it’s damn that time the music world is put on notice of what feels like its bright future!
As someone who grew up consuming large quantities of diverse music from different artists, Shar’s music is reflected in its bountiful supply of melodies and harmonies and that is the case of “No Shenanigans”; – a feel-good type of track that is so easy to sing and dance along to!
The beats are very infectious and if I didn’t know any better, I’d have been quick to restrict it within some boundaries but because I know better, I will not be responsible for committing such an atrocity. “No Shenanigans” is very diverse with scintillating elements of pop and rock that have been blended idiosyncratically and then added a special dance-inspired flavor that makes you want to move or shake something; doesn’t matter what but you are compelled to and what you decide to move is entirely up to you!
The powerful vocals slink with command and clarity over the abundant-sounding melodies and breathe life into the narrative; coming off very metaphorical, the theme of the tune is built around calling it quits in a relationship that you feel isn’t working out.
There is a great deal of melodies and rhythm to indulge in in “No Shenanigans” and I have no doubt you’ll see it that way once you follow the attached link and start grooving to “No Shenanigans!”
