Following on his impressive single “Only you and Me”, Dominican-born composer, songwriter, and drummer, Saudy Familia, has returned with his second offering named “Holding in”. The soulful new track involves layers of instrumentation being stacked skillfully, balancing melodies and rhythms. “Holding in” is an immersive piece of music.
His passion for music emerged at the young age of four-years-old through singing his fathers’ music in the Dominican Republic. And it is through music that he hopes to attract young American and Latino audiences to the rhythms and sounds of the Caribbean.
This new track further proves his mastery of song-craft and sees the artist cruising his way to mainstream attention. He blends elements of R&B, Salsa, Jazz, and Latin Jazz to create his unique sound. Its chill production is paired with Marifé’s stunning vocals and gripping lyrics.
