Melbourne Based Rapper, Rjayvida Is Set to Release His Much-Awaited Debut EP, “Libraszn” on 3rd October 2022
Rjayvida is a Melbourne-based independent artist who has cultivated a reputation around his versatility as a rapper and singer. He has developed a penchant for creating infectious tunes with relatable narratives that are inspired by pure determination and a spirit to tell the world his story through his music. Being an avid storyteller, Rjayvida is greatly influenced by real-life events, drawing inspiration for his music from personal experiences and heartbreaks which allow his music to invoke strong emotions in people.
Rjayvida is now set to officially release his debut EP, “Libraszn” which has been in the works for some time now on the 3rd of October 2022. This is a 6-track EP that takes a listener through Rjayvida’s own journey through heartbreaks, loss, insight and self-discovery, worded poetically enough over melodious instrumentation, letting the listener develop their own personal relationship with the lyrics.
Eclectic musical stylings in this EP are a distinct fusion of melodious rap and pop with every track boasting a unique character that defines the EP as a whole. The opening track, “Putting Me First” is a melodious rap anthem with Rjayvida’s sweet-talking vocals singing over the prolific modern instrumentation to gratifying effects. Very rhythmic, the track is infectious and features those coruscating hooks and a very climaxing rap section that drives the track to the end. This is an affirmation of when Rjayvida knew his worth and decided to put himself first before anything and anyone else. And to anyone who has ever invested their love, time and emotions only to be let down, this is an emotionally relatable anthem to play on repeat.
“What’s the Move?” is my favorite off of this EP- I feel this is this track highlights the capstone of his phenomenal gifts in raping and singing. Unleashing a show-stopping lyrical masterclass, Rjayvida vocals blend with the beats coming off as instruments themselves. This is very raw, and emotion-filled, and features engrossing catchy hooks in between the smart bars. You better believe Rjayvida when he says that he’s not in any competition with anyone- he is just racing himself (how about that!)
“Time Alone” is very therapeutic and exudes those chilling vibes right from the instrumentation to the lyrical delivery. The laid-back drums haunt the background and blend with the captivating synths to give an evocative vibe. Rjayvida breathes life into the narrative with his mature flows delivered straight from his heart and soul.
There is a ton of musical excellence in the other tracks such as, “Signs”, “Off Day” and “Don’t Cry To Me.”
