Richard Oliver Jr. is an award-winning artist, filmmaker, and two-time White House recipient recognized for his conscious films such as HERO. He writes, composes, and produces his own music and recently made headlines by addressing sensitive issues about gun violence in his song and film “These Sad Times.” He uses music and creative expression as a vehicle to inspire hope, empower, and uplift his listeners, reminding them to keep pushing and never give up because life continuously tests our limits and sometimes it can be too hard to hold on. Richard is here to remind you that you have it in you to survive even seemingly impossible challenges.

His track and film “ALRIGHT” carry a deeply meaningful message on mental health, depression, and suicide and are a great tribute to all the frontline workers who did the most when the COVID pandemic hit in 2020.

This is another of his tracks with such a profound message and heartfelt video to which so many people dealing with mental health issues, depression, and suicidal thoughts can gravitate. The tune features great rhythm and melody, and his expressive voice accentuates the weight of the lyrics.

This is such a commendable job for Richard for bringing mental illness into the limelight, especially during the lockdown when COVID hit. The underlying emphasis on reaching out to and helping any person in difficulty is a noble idea.

On other news, Richard Oliver Jr. has been nominated for the opening Act at Audacy’s (formerly Radio.com) annual We Can Survive concert, and you can make his dream come true by voting for him by following the link https://theopenact.com/2023/richard-oliver-jr and pushing him further towards making his dream a reality.
