REPLICAH was born in Switzerland but is currently residing in Biel. She fell in love with music ever since she could speak and has always possessed an insatiable curiosity to know the multiple dimensions of music. This has seen her learn a lot from an instrument playing to music production and now she feeds off that creative output and passion to write, produce and release her own music. She is a different breed and even her way of advertising and promotions exemplifies ingenious brilliance!
Like the superhuman she is from the future where she has been interacting with aliens and other mysterious creatures, she knows exactly what will happen 20 years from now and is back with a powerful show to lead us to the realm of imagination of exactly what the future looks like; a 4-track EP titled, “Zeitgeist” that can now be assessed from your favorite streaming platforms worldwide!
What caught my attention first even before I could listen to the tracks was that art cover that is simply out of this world. It is inexplicably eye-catching and the best mysterious depiction of the entire EP, while also complementing the fact that it was recorded by Ben Mühlethaler (Grammy Nominee) at B-Note Studios in Bern, Switzerland. The tunes are obvious a blend of numerous genres from Avant-pop, electronic pop, ambient, and alternative pop among other beautiful styles.
“A Girl & a Ghost” has a very dreamy soundscape mastered with a futuristic vibe and he features a trap act x ghost. The rap section integrated adds that spark and intrigue and I enjoyed the way the track ascends, taking in multiple forms to keep a listener guessing and invested throughout. The haunting synth waves are already mind-grabbing and her equally dreamy vocals ear worming!
“Timewarp” is performed in her dynamic sultry vocals and the tune adopts a very cinematic and Avant-like soundscape with those electronic-like undertones. In here, REPLICAH paints her story through the melodies allowing a listener to enter a dream-like state into her own world of imagination of how the future looks like.
“Letter” is rhythmic and melodious and echoes a very consistent cadence with her powerful vocal presentation drawing a listener in and letting them get immersed in her engineered world. “Malware” is very electronic and hypnotic with the whole delivery haunting a listener long after you’re done listening to the track. It has a very reflective robotic feel and warmth to it and is one of the tracks that display the versatile side of REPLICAH’s artistry.
There you go folks- “Zeitgeist” is exactly what you need to clearly see the future and you can now stream the entire collection by following the attached link and let these tracks elevate your playlist accordingly!
