Artistic Collective PDS Unleash Another Ear-Grabbing Teaser for Track #6, “Unveiling Distant Lovers: Here I Am (There You Are)” off of Their Upcoming Album “No Song Hold On”
I’m aching to tell you the story of PDS’ upcoming masterpiece “Unveiling Distant Lovers: Here I Am (there You Are),” the official track #6 from their highly anticipated 22-track album “No Song Hold On” that is just around the corner, officially debuting on January 20, 2025. Now, listen, “Unveiling Distant Lovers: Here I Am (there You Are)” is a duet of longing hearts, a symphony of sorts with all the hallmarks of a soulful, nostalgic R&B and soul featuring the delightfully emotive, scene-stealing, and effortlessly powerful vocals of indie pop-soul vocalist and songwriter Mila Franc and boy does she do justice to the track!
While the teaser is most definitely short (as you’d expect of a teaser!) it does paint enough picture for me to give you the gist of this jam. The intro is quite ethereal, featuring the somber, mournful vocalizing that’s akin to a dirge or requiem, seamlessly entwining with the thoughtfully played piano, setting quite a hauntingly beautiful, subtly orchestral, and equally soulful tone for the song. The beauty of this jam is that it carries this mournful and sorrowful feel throughout, giving it that emotionally accessible quality.
Mila’s enchanting vocals slink beautifully and warmly to the pace of the slow yet effectively expressive R&B beats, before the equally endearing, heartfelt, and soulfully rich male vocals step in, immediately exuding a duet for longing hearts who long to be together but have been separated by distance (physical or emotional), hence part of the title, “Here I Am (there You Are).”
Sorrowful, nostalgic, inviting, and relatable, “Unveiling Distant Lovers: Here I Am (there You Are)” is the kind of profound tune that is as emotional as it is captivating, and PDS found the right fit to really paint the song’s deep emotions, characterized by the outpouring of feelings from both a female and male’s POV—both willing to sacrifice it all and walk the distance, no matter how far, so as to be united in love once again!
If you are the kind that would walk 10,000 miles on fire to meet your significant other, then this jam will hit so close to home. For anyone who would at least do 1,000 miles but not on fire, it is equally endearing and an ear staple to play now and again.
For all of us, we simply can’t wait for the complete material once the date clocks on January 20, 2025. For now, we wait!
