Raised in Wilmington, Mo Nicole considers herself a second-generation femcee who took a liking to hip hop music ever since she was young having grown up listening to Michael Jackson and B.I.G. music. Her own mother was a masterful lyrist going by the moniker “Butta” who helped expose her to the distinctive street rap. She has now been in the game for over 10 years performing for coast-to-coast mixtapes, the rise of eve and headlining numerous events and showcases.

What you get from Mo Nicole is lyrical honesty- she does not sugar coat her words preferring to go raw with a genuine display of unapologetic attitude that has come to make her a listener favorite. Not one to mince her words, she has an intriguing way with her words and is able to make bangers off of real-life situations so easily as an ode to her lifelong affair with the distinctive reverberating sounds of cultural hip hop music!

On 2nd December 2022, she is going to release her first full-length project; “Stoop Lyfe”- a 20-track-inspired mixtape with some hypnotic, entertaining, and educative bangers. I took it upon myself to give you a glimpse of what you can expect by giving you a feel of some of the tracks that make this sensational album.

“GSP” really did impress me due to the big, bold energy integrated here backed by such a dexterous lyrical display. The deep-phased bass blended with the vintage synth lines, the drums, and of course the colorful 808’s make this one speaker-thumping masterpiece. Jumping into it right away and without wasting time, Mo Nicole unleashes her lyrical strengths and speed- flourishing over the beats in style and in ways only she is capable of. Even by her first-rate rap status, she really does outdo herself with this performance.

“Say My Name” is another raw and spectacular tune that sees Mo Nicole at her best. She hits hard with explicit bars over the prolific modern hip hop instrumentations. Taking no prisoners in her lyrical approach, she reminds her doubters and haters why her name is Mo Nicole and not someone to be pushed around. The R&B-styled vocal drops with the repeated catchy phrases of, “say my name say my name” really add that sonic variation and intrigue to this hard-hitting anthem.

“OMG” has a chilling piano loop intro followed by rap-inspired deep beats that see Mo Nicole jump right away and deliver a show-stopper. Her lyrical speed is put to test in here and she comes out the victor as she matches the melodic cadence to offer some ingenious bars that underscore her flawless ability to shine over any type of beat she is put in. Mo Nicole proves that there are levels to this game with such a commendable lyrical performance as unleashed in this banger.

“Euthanasia” feels very bouncy which sees Mo Nicole tip-toe over the beats with thought-provoking bars over the buoyant beats. You can feel her spirit all over this performance as she goes on to give a memorable rap performance that supports her claim as an extraordinary female lyrist.

The whole of “Stoop Lyfe” is a huge testament to Mo Nicole’s ascending musicianship to where she stands currently. It also gives an ode to a very bright incoming future that will see her take over the female rap industry and leave a legacy that will be talked about by generations to come- simply sensational!

Mark 2nd December on your dates and make sure to follow Mo Nicole everywhere because at this rate it feels like this is her world and we are just lucky to be in it!
