MICah is a 22-year-old recording artist and rapper from Chicago. His musical inspiration has been a result of a lifetime of musical influences which is in turn mirrored through his own multi-genre style. He does not like to be restrained to a defining box, choosing to remain versatile and capable of delivering in any sound with some firm rooting in hip hop and rap. His sound is very mature, and imposing and brings with it an aura of soothing feelings as he commands on the mic the best way he knows how; coming through with raw and thought-provoking lines in ways that so many listeners can emotionally relate to and that is what separates MICah from the pack!
Having released his debut single in 2020, he has been on a steady musical odyssey, and “Neptune (FireEscape Freestyle)” is his 5th studio release. This is an emotionally grabbing and intoxicating chilled type of track with MICah displaying such ingenious poeticism to deliver a show-stopping freestyle that takes your attention from the first minute all the way to the last.
A listener will undoubtedly admire and feel in place with the laid-back and chilled vibe surrounding the track with the focus given to MICah as he goes ahead to lyrically give an ode to his experiences with dating and the plights, joys, and rollercoasters of a young man trying to hustle his way up from the streets. The melodies sound wavy and his raw and emotional voice sets the lyrical tone for this authentic masterpiece.
I really dig the lines “I admit it I throw on a penchant and off the white shades, walk wit these girls…” largely due to my own experiences with dating. This is a deeply resonant freestyle masterpiece and the music video has already amassed over 5k views in such a short period.
