Mayday was born Mazie Jaketa Cobb on the 8th of January, 1991 in Pascagoula and was raised in Southside Gautier, Ms. She has two brothers and she admits that growing up wasn’t particularly easy with an absentee father forcing her mom to work two jobs in order to provide for Mayday and her brothers. She grew up listening to hip-hop music influenced by the greats such as Lil Wayne, Lil Boosie, Kevin Gates, Project Pat and others. In the hip-hop game herself, she seeks to build a boundary-busting career and leave behind a long-lasting legacy that she will be remembered for.
