Lily Löwe is a Norwegian rock artist and songwriter who blends the traditional with the unusual to cultivate an eclectic concoction of music that flaunts hints of metal and hard rock with some components of alternative and punk rock and the resulting sound feels like a cocktail of vanilla and chocolate, mouthwatering right! Built on a sharp and enthusiastic cinematic arrangement that perfectly reflect the diversified themes of the album “Löwe” sees Lily Löwe at her most passionate and spirited, tapping into mystical life that so many will be able to relate to. Musically, this mind-blowing album is a huge indication to Lily Löwe’s range, offering heavy-metallic rock tracks that rise from the electrolyzed guitar strings and the sparkling rising rock percussion, laying the perfect foundation for Lily Löwe’s fierce vocals.

Hitting the ground running and not contemplating for a water break and armed with all the trademark sounds of metallic rockability music, Lily Löwe wastes no time in making her mark, delivering a stellar opening cut in “Scream” a fiery track that emerges from an artistic compromise to test the fastness of the tempo, the loudness and distortion of riffs and the sometimes simple rhythmicity that has been cleverly blended in and fits perfectly well in the mix.

Our major focus today will be on the track “Bad Baby” which opens to a hedonistic start – arriving with a sharp, string-slapping blend of metal and punk rock, conjuring up gorgeous shades of the original rockability scene. It sets an instant tone with the thunderous drum line and a great deal of crushing guitars as it breaks down into a dark spiral of hard rock anthemic echoing visceral 90’s sounds and grunge aesthetics that conjure up the comparison to legendary female stars such as Patti Smith, Joan Jett and Tina Turner. Wielding a brash, passionate sound that hits hard and drugs you under with its impenetrable and compact, wild and untamable energy, “Bad Baby” is performed in a unique perspective that only Lily Löwe is capable of delivering.

There is an abundance of mysticism in all the other trucks as well with the verse-chorus structures, backbeat rhythms and the electric guitars at the forefront – which are heavier and faster than their predecessors such as the blistering drum work which supports the rhythmically tight and tonally guitars and bass throughout the tracks in this album – moving deftly between the tracks different meters and riffs with nearly mechanical precision. The energy level displayed by Lily Löwe conveys a sense of unhinged and ever-expanding mania that perfectly suits the lyrical themes of the album. The aggressive vocals, rawness and simplicity are what this whole album is all about and provides a firm foundation for head-bangers to latch onto. This album exemplifies prodigious production and is the epitome of the original rockability musical scene and I’m certain it will staggeringly appeal to a wide range of rock music lovers from wherever!

“Löwe” is available on all the major streaming platforms – stream it, repeat the vigorous anthems, identify your favorite tracks and color your playlist with these tracks for a repeated listening experience throughout the year 2022. This is certainly her year and this is not up for debate!
