Sheer genius is demonstrated by the fascinating versatile artist and songwriter Leron Lamar in his new single “Amazon .” The impeccable track is creatively entertaining and captivates the audience with an immersive and catchy vibe.
We’re lucky enough to have sneaked in for an interview with a talented artist. He was generous enough to lend some of his precious moments as we gleefully stumbled deep into his personal and professional life. Here are some excerpts from the interview:
“Amazon” is captivating from the start to finish with a combination of unique beats and catchy lyrics. What was the inspiration behind the single?
Well, I’m inspired by everything honestly, just life itself is an inspiration. But, what generally inspired me to do make a song like this is our strong, fearless women. They endure a lot. The ones that actually work the club scenes are often looked at in a negative way, and i’m just saying hey! We can’t be too judgemental. People gotta do what they gotta do today, so it’s more of a big ups to them and not a downplay of them doing what they gotta do.
What has your musical journey been like? Run us through your story.
It’s been sorta rough. I’ve been up, been down, homeless for a short period of time. There were times i’ve had to pack up my music equipment and throw it into storage for months at a time and not being able to record. So it’s been tough, but my ambition and hunger for success is what keeps me going. As of now Im engineering and producing my own tracks, as well as for the other artists im working with. It’s a major sound thing.
Do you have a favorite musical project that you’ve worked on?
I mean as for now, I dont have a full project ready to go. Im just focused on releasing singles until we can get this fanbase even bigger. If I can say myself, all of the songs I work on are my favorites, lol. I just use them as stepping stones to make the next songs better like, as long as you keep working you just get better and better at it.
Do you have any dream collaborations? Who are they?
If there was anybody I’d like to work with it would be drizzy. He’s a versatile artist like myself, so I believe me and him would create some fire together.
What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Well i’m a humble guy. Or at least I’d like to say so. But, just remain humble. Not humble to the point where your being taken advantage of, but humble to where you realize that life is precious, not to take shit for granted and to express gratitude for the things that you do have, no matter how big or small the blessing.
If you had one message to give your fans, what would it be?
To just rock out witchya boy. My energy is pure and real. I’m not the Hollywood type. I’m gonna give you the real me. Every time!
Are you working on any project right now and what can we expect from you in the future?
I got a couple of things lined up. But, as I stated earlier, I’m just releasing singles for the moment. There is a project that’s sort of in the works that me and another artist on the label are working on. More like an Ep. We’ll probably release that as a collab. It’s really just politics at this point.
Thank you for speaking with us! For our final question, is there anything else you would like to add?
Absolutely! make sure you all tune in! follow me on my socials to stay updated on what’s going on. Let me know how you feel about the music you hear. I love getting feedback. That, and to just keep an eye out. Im a firm believer in how the universe works and i’ve been getting alot of signs lately that point me in a specific direction.
