Ugandan Femcee Joyie7star Delivers a Lyrical Masterclass in Her New Single, “Hot Chic KU Mic.”

Joyie7Star is a real deal and an OG based out of the capital of Uganda who is like a ball of fire, spitting flames every time she rolls. A second-generation female emcee extraordinaire, she has developed an effortless way of spitting fire over the mic in a way that is bound to demand anyone’s attention. On his visit to Uganda, Poland-based video director Wit Dziki was mesmerized by the raw talent, bubbly personality, and energy that Joyie7Star gave off, and with the help of Bayimba Foundation, they decided to shoot a music video for her second single, “Hot Chic Ku Mic,” which really pays homage to the Karaoke Kings Collective, who really believed in Joyie7Star and gave her a platform for her to express her creative outlets and share her musical art with the world.

A high-energy track with a haunting hip-hop-inspired beat, Joyie7Star jumps almost immediately with some sharp-witted, raw, and somewhat explicit bars, blending English and her quintessential Luganda dialect for one multicolored lyricism.
