Based out of Columbus, Ohio, is the multitalented and multifaceted recording artist who goes professionally by jacey j. As an artist, jacey does not like to limit himself or conform to any particular sound or borders, choosing instead to explore and test his musical depths through a plethora of sounds such as hip-hop, pop, R&B, and even electronic sounds. Ever since he joined the game back in 2012, he has been steadily rising through the ranks and his music career spans over a decade of success. And he is still going strong. With a priceless ambition and work ethic to match, it is safe to say that jacey is riding his way to the very top!

He has a new single, which he can’t wait to share with the musical world; “You Ruined Everything” is set to be the latest addition to his remarkable discography, and I can tell you one thing for sure: this track is the bomb. It is a banger from head to toe. What they did to it is marvelously illegal.

This track was actually produced by the virtuosic sound engineer Arthur Pingrey from New York City. As someone who has worked with A-listers in the game and some of the most promising upcoming talents, he always has that knack for hit melodies, and he did more than justice to this track. It’s actually one of those tracks that you listen to and you just go gaga!

Let’s talk about that production. It’s intriguing how well-structured it is, with every instrumentation stupendously designed to fit into the anatomy of the sound. Talk about those coruscating electronic guitars that give it that sonic elegance of pop and the hip-hop quintessence provided by the drums and the steady bass with the Wurlitzer piano inducing that electronic spark that is exquisite.

jacey j.’s delivery on the vocal front is unmatched. Actually, it’s fascinating how his delivery cuts across the pop and hip-hop worlds so faultlessly. He’s got those effortlessly powerful vocals that slink beautifully over the beats; giving life to this banger entrancingly.

“You Ruined Everything” is one of those eclectic sounds, and it really is hard to pin it down to one category, although there is a consistency of pop melodies underscored by the electronic features of the melodies.

There is that sort of indescribable chemistry that is evoked from this track, one that I would like to believe was not instantaneous between jacey j. and Arthur, and if it was, then consider my mouth wide open because they understand each other so perfectly. Arthur allows jacey j. that freedom of expression and knows how to hit, manipulate, and distort the instruments to lay the perfect bed of support for jacey j.’s vocals to flourish, and flourish they do!

“You Ruined Everything” is the definition of a complete package; nothing is lacking here. Everyone brought their A-game, which reminds me of that meme of “when everybody in the group assignment delivers.” so badass!

In “You Ruined Everything”, the bridge of love has already been completely destroyed and there is no going back. And while you look at it from a point of hurt and pain, it soberingly, almost imperceptibly dawns on you that it was actually for the best!

The abundance of instrumental gratification, the complete vocal performance, and the exquisiteness and elegance in production for “You Ruined Everything” is why a track of this magnitude should not escape your ears.
