J Papi creates his own musical path with Debut Ep ‘Jude’

J Papi, an artist originally from Lagos, releases his debut EP, but by the sound of the songs in the Ep, you’d think he was a music industry vet already.

J Papi clearly stands out from other artists identified by his unique voice, on top of his smooth and mellow, but very musical beats. J papi is definitely a name you won’t forget this year once you listen to his music.

‘Jude’ is the title of the 4-song Ep, which has all it takes to make it in the music industry.

“We Did” is hands up my favorite song on the project, although the entire Ep is a regal body of work and proof that he puts his heart and soul into the craft. “We Did” is a soulful R&B/Hip-hop tune with quite a quirky bassline. Behind the groovy instrumentation, however, is emotive lyrics delivered vulnerably. To both J Papi and Bazzy, it is clear that the song is so personal and cathartic to them.
