Gangsta Nerd the lyrical wizard and virtuosic producer was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia on the West Side (Bank Head) area of Atlanta. He is now an Afro-Honduran Rap artist from the North-West side of Atlanta (Bank Head). He was, as a matter of fact, born in Cortes, San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and later moved into the US in the year 1996. He started his musical journey in the year 2004 as an underground artist and between the years 2008-2010, he went fully in making a career out of music but took a temporary hiatus to concentrate on his studies.
Now he is back like a hungry athlete after suffering an injury and wanting to prove his worth on the game and stamp his authority on that field lest people forgot who he really was! Gangsta Nerd is now concentrating on his forthcoming “Revenge of Da Nerd Mixtape” – a collection of blistering tracks created between 2008 and 2013. His imposing catalog boasts of a plethora of certified bangers produced in the years 2020 and 2021. Our focus today will be on his “Revenge Of Da Nerd Mixtape” – 2010 edition. Make no mistake or let not the year not deceive you, they slap new each time and if there is place to take your mind back to; this is a perfect place to begin – a place overflowing with real rap music that we grew up accustomed to.
All the tracks in this Mixtape are to be enjoyed wholeheartedly from the “Intro” to the last track “BONUS: PLASTIC (CLEAN)”. You don’t want to miss out on the fun, the anticipation, the buildup as each track opens up to some breathtaking melodicism and slapping glamour. It was hard to pick out a favorite but eventually, I did settle on “I’M BACK NOW (ROGER THAT)” for purposes of review. This is a cinematic track that flaunts its southern nostalgic vibe bringing music back like its 1999! This is the epitome of gangsta rap and this is not up for debate, the way the wavy instruments, the booming bass lines, the shaky beats, and the synths work together with all the while a background gangsta-like percussion making waves from time to time is a hypnotizing feeling that you’d want to feel repeatedly without stopping.
The way he lyrically dazzles from the beginning to the end screams “It’s Showtime baby! “And the catchy hooks really mean one thing; he’s truly back now! You can bank on that! To get a taste of this splashy musicality, follow the attached link, stream, like, and share while also following him on his socials as he is preparing his own city which will be brimming with the real gangsta rap – how about that!
