After Ehcli’s exceptional freestyle was released, we caught up with an insightful interview with the talented artist to explore his eidetic experience and what he had to say about his incredible musical journey so far. Read below to learn some interesting details about Ehcli.

Congratulations on your latest track “DWADE FREESTYLE”, how do you feel about the newfound success?

I’m very surprised at how well everything is going so far, never thought other people would enjoy a song I made in my room so much. Since most recording studios are closed because of the pandemic, I made it in my room when I was mad and in my head.

What is the inspiration behind the single?

Honestly, I just felt empty, mad at the world. A lot of things happened before I actually sat down and recorded it. All my songs are freestyle but this time I just went non-stop. The whole recording process took around 5-8 minutes.

What has your musical journey been like? Run us through your story.

It’s been super brazy, everything is moving really fast. I can barely keep up with everything happening. It gets really stressful. I went from doing this for fun with my friends to people actually listening to me. More and more artists reach out to me every day and I’ve gotten to speak with people I never thought I’d talk to in my life. I’ve always been interested in music, I grew up in Puerto Rico, music is a very important part of our culture. I didn’t start taking music seriously until a year ago. Not even, maybe like 6-8 months ago.

What were the biggest initial hurdles to pursuing your musical dreams and how did you overcome them?

I think at first the hardest thing was actually recording. I started recording with Apple headphones. The quality of my music was not good at all and it had no mixing, it was really preventing me from moving forward with my career and music quality. And with no good quality music, I had no motivation to keep going. So, I decided to buy professional equipment and every week my music was getting better and better.

How do you motivate yourself when things are not going your way as your profession requires a lot of effort?

I usually just take a break until I think it’s time for me to come back. When I come back from my breaks, all my feelings, my sadness, my hurt, everything comes out and my music gets better every time. Unfortunately, I rely a lot on people for my happiness and motivation. I actually just came back from one of those “breaks”. I noticed my music wasn’t at 100% so I stopped for a while. An amazing woman came into my life and got me out of that bad place I was in. She’s literally my motivation. The reason behind all the brazy music I’ve been making lately. Some people are blessed and some are lucky. I got my Lucky 7 and I’m happy.

Are you working on any project right now and what can we expect from you in the future?

Yeah, I’m currently working on multiple projects, 2 of them are done. “B L O O D F A L L” and “Versus Everything”. A lot of known artists and producers in the projects. My personal favorite songs feature Offset, Lil Keed, Gunna, and Murda Beatz. You should expect good things coming from me, a lot of good music, and success.

If you had one message to give your fans, what would it be?

Don’t give up. I believe in you and always will. Nothing but luv for everyone that has been on this journey with me.

Are you happy with whatever you have achieved in your career?

Yes, I’m extremely satisfied with everything I’ve achieved. Especially for my age. I could sit here happy for years knowing thousands of people listened and enjoyed the words I had to say.

Thank you for speaking with us! For our final question, is there anything else you would like to add?

Sure, this whole music thing is fun but, it does have its downs too. Anyone can make music, just be smart and have patience.
