Congratulations on your latest album “The Biggest”, how do you feel about the newfound success?
Thank you, I appreciate you guys for checking it out! The feedback on the album is very dope, getting a lot of support here in the US & even across the globe many people are tuned in to this project man its mind boggling how far & wide music can spread but I absolutely love it & don’t take any of it for granted.
What was the inspiration behind the album?
The main inspiration of this album was basically creating good music and enjoying the process of it all, when we started recording the first session I didn’t even have a name or release date for the project like I said, it was all about enjoying the creative process for me & just letting everything else come together organically.
What single off the album “The Biggest”, do you anticipate it taking off both on charts and with listeners/fans?
Right now, I honestly could not give you a definite answer because many of the songs are being playlisted via both Spotify and Apple Music, there are different vibes on the album so I anticipate people coming back playing whichever song they like the most. I anticipate to shoot a music video pretty much 7 out of 8 records on the album because one has already been shot & released via YouTube and currently is at over 35,000 views.
When did you first think of becoming a DJ/ Producer and was it a nonchalant decision?
I’ve always wanted to do music, I’ve always had a passion for it since a child. Finding the right approach musically was my biggest thing, I engineer, produce, as well as DJ so I feel like actually being one of the people whose helping creating the actual music alongside the artist is my calling. I started to DJ in March of 2020 and I did this simply because of the fact that I had a background in event hosting, I’ve been throwing parties since middle school & I’m 22 now. So, it was just a decision I made in regards to always being around a DJ board, I figure if I knew how to engineer & produce music already why not give it a shot? Definitely worked out in my favor!
How did you develop a keenness for the Hip-Hop genre?
Hip-hop has always been my go to simply because of my age, and where I’m from. Memphis pretty much has the most influence on the rap game in regards to cadence/flow & production in my opinion. But my dad opened my ears to 90’s & Down Southern Hip-Hop at a pretty early age, we would be in the car just riding out to rappers like Tupac, UGK, Devin the Dude, Scarface, Goodie Mob, etc. With my mom it was the complete opposite, it was R&B/Neo-Soul artists like Jill Scott, Ledisi, Erykah Badu, India Arie, Sade etc. I think the mixture of these two along with my music that I started to discover as kid on my own would help my ear for music & overall Hip-hop
Who has been the earliest influence who inspired you to take the plunge in the music scene?
Producers like Pierre Bourne, Pharrell, Teddy Riley I like them all because their work is just so different, but from a music business aspect people like Master P I draw inspiration from for his dedication to staying independent.
What goals have you accomplished? What goals are you still working towards?
I have a few placements now, I’ve reached almost 30,000 streams independently in less than a month so I feel as if that’s a major accomplishment. My short-term goal before the end of year is here, I want to reach 100,000 combined streams on the album I’m very confident we can do it, no doubt. KEEP STREAMING #THEBIGGEST….
If you had one message to give your fans, what would it be?
Thank you and I literally don’t feel as If I can express how much I appreciate each one of you, you aren’t fans, we’re a family for sure. Keep streaming the album, let’s keep running it up!
For our final question, is there anything else you would like to add?
Thanks for reaching out & having me! I appreciate you guys platform more than I can put into words im honored to be in consideration for an interview!
