Darewood222 was born and raised in Nashville, Tn. This multi-genre artist subscribes to all genres of music that have always influenced his sound as he does not wish to self-limit his capabilities by just being stuck in one defining box. He has a very massive fan base that continuously evolves with so many attracted more by his originality. He makes authentic music that you haven’t heard before and while he is obviously influenced by other successful artists, he takes the lessons whilst allowing his sound his own stamp through which listeners can identify him with.

The single, “Sandman” has been on heavy rotation everywhere with more than 25k streams on SOUNDCLOUD and still growing. The cover art is really creative and eye-catching and is what caught my eyes even before I opened the track.

Sandman by Darewood222

With dance and EDM inspiration sweeping through the melodies, this track is undeniably catchy and will get you bopping your head down to your feet to these spectacularly fashioned beats. Taking on a hip hop inspired lyrical display, Darewood222 goes on to deliver some very impactful and emotionally relatable bars over the dazzling electronic beats that evolve from within the quintessential 808’s port!

Beyond the dazzling instrumentation and lyrical proficiency are words of encouragement to anyone who may be feeling a little weighed down by the world’s challenges and misfortunes. This is the track to remind you not to give up because beyond that adversity lies a bridge to complete victory.

I feel the track’s strong elements obviously lay in its catchiness and of course the thoughtful lyrics offering inspiration, especially during these tumultuous periods. The balance struck between sound design and appeal is of course praiseworthy and I can only see a brighter future ahead for Darewood222 and his music.
