Crown Kingdom is a passionate band hailing all the way from Ohio that composes rhythmic melodies that are brimming with life and death. Pleasant to the ears, the band’s songs give a utopian kind of experience to the listener and transport you to a world of relatable emotions and their way of expression that leaves nothing to be desired directly finding their way to the hearts of the people who taste it. Although they are heavily inspired by bands from the ’70s there is no set framework that the band has naively followed in order to make an impact; rather, they have equipped their music with the most original, raw, and equally revolutionary components in order to break through into the audience.
Crown Kingdom have earned significant appreciation for their 2016 album “Coronation”- what you get is six stupendously fashioned tracks that somehow transition into each other while the whole album still manages to remain coherent and dynamic as an authentic body of work. By immersing yourself in this 30-minute experience, all the worries you harbor about the world will be long gone!
“The Cave” is an indescribably spectacular masterpiece; talk about that entrancing and breathtaking guitar intro that is rhythmic and euphonious and performed with such showmanship and panache that makes you just want to move and fidget with your fingers to the cadence and once the drums kick in, you find yourself moving your head and tapping your feet to the rhythm.
Inspired by high fantasy stories “Darkest Dream” immediately makes its mark in that impressive and breathtaking intro, where the lead guitars blend strongly into the drums and keyboard. The performance is splendidly exceptional and is led by the resplendently captivating vocal delivery that boats sumptuous dynamic and tonal balance. This is undeniably the mark of experienced whizzes and the way everything works in close tandem with each other is proof of the indestructible chemistry that the band members have been able to create over the years of performing together.
Well if you’re not looking at the moon when you listen to “Luna”, then you’re missing out on something amazing! Appropriately title the song takes on a much slower melody from the other tracks. The guitars here are in perfect sync with the euphony and let’s talk about that self-assured lead vocal that ebbs and flows with admirable clarity! Overall, this song is a perfect example of how Crown Kingdom can move you through their music.
I cannot stress enough how “Coronation” is such an underrated album and one of the best debuts I’ve ever heard. This is the epitome of accomplished artistry and I harbor no doubt that Crown Kingdom will continue to deliver incredible music for years to come.
