Growing up in San Diego California Chris Del Camino had a tumultuous childhood largely due to the estranged relationship he had with his father who was an alcoholic and subjected to some of the abuse he suffered too as a child to Chris. By age seven his father and mom divorced and most of his early childhood to late teens has seen Chris survive through an engulfing web of confusion, self-doubt, and self-loath, and the track, “Self Love” is like an affirmation to his palpable compassion to his younger self.
Chris Del Camino who is now residing in the California Bay Area has been an ardent saxophonist for the most part of his musical life and toured for nearly a decade in the reggae/pop prose HIRIE before going solo as an artist in 2018 while also continuing touring and creating with HIRIE. He is now set to create a major wave of momentum with his new single, “Self- Love” which is due on Sunday, August 1st, 2022 on all digital streaming platforms.
This track is more than just the cheerful reggae beats; it has a deeply meaningful, impactful, and therapeutic message behind the passionately delivered lyrics. And for all those who have spent large parts of their lives showing love to others and denying that compassion to themselves, then this is the right track to allow you to shine that love on yourself for you deserve it. Self-compassion is important because we are the only people we spent most of our lives around and thus we deserve most of our love from none other than us!
This track will be appreciated by reggae lovers with the melody also adapting a modern pop feel and thrill created around the luxurious instruments fronted by the conga-like drum and the electric guitar. The way he has been able to fashion a catchy chorus that is candidly engaging is also a spectacular highlight of this track. So this is the track to remind you that you found your self-love and no one can take that away from you!
