She needs no introduction her reputation precedes her: she has opened for 13-time Grammy nominee Musiq Soulchild and has toured abroad with Grammy-nominated act, Earl Thomas. She has also performed to sold-out events in Brazil in her first ever and she is now privileged to be working with musical icons Myron McKinley, Kevin Flournoy, and Kevin O’Neal- ladies and gentlemen, it’s the vocal queen and one of the most charismatic songstresses there is; Cerissa!

Cerissa is a soulful vocal performer glittering the musical space with her angelic vocals and her ability to blend the fine lines of contemporary Christian, Gospel, Jazz, Rock, Soul, R&B, Pop, Blues, and Funk and come up with some graciously glamorous music that ignites that twinkling spark in a listener’s soul!

She is effortless and authentic and she has been influenced by great music luminaries such as Nina Simone, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Stevie Wonder. No matter how many times you listen to that voice, you can’t get enough of it. It is the type you’d listen to all night long and get on your day like you just had one of those deep satisfying sleep- it’s that powerful!

She has a new gem of a track titled “Could we ever Be The Same” scheduled for official release on all the digital platforms from May the 20th! This tune is inspired by none other than the inspirational artist Earl Thomas Bridgeman who brought her to tour Europe in 2016 and he has impacted her career ever since- bestowing her with an unlimited supply of nuggets of wisdom which has contributed to her success and who she now is as an artist. Earl also wrote this song along with Philip C Wootton.

This track right here evokes some kind of nostalgic memories that you have not yet experienced and the vocal prowess on the show is staggeringly unbelievable. It’s like she is an angel of sorts and the way she floats on the beats like she is on air- levitating and enjoying the backing of the equally soft and mellifluous background vocals as the warm guitars, oscillating keys, and organs, the scintillating drums, and percussion integrate with pure and precise melodic ways to design a piece of timeless and groundbreaking music!

The song is produced by the high profile and virtuosic producer Myron McKinley and will alter the force of soulful, R&B, bluesy and jazzy feelings once it is dropped. The world is not even ready!
