Touching the ground in lyrical fashion and promising to thrill and entertain to the best of his ability (his ability is pretty gargantuan!); this is the reign of AL COIN a lyrical gem and a singing sensation who was born and raised in New York Queens. He is a bilingual Latino artist, a singer/songwriter, rapper and producer who sucks the life out of hip-hop and R&B beats. He is as passionate as he is talented and when he enters the booth, he lives nothing to spare giving main event lyrical performances that leave the audience in awe, applauding and lauding in approval. Putting on some gears and getting in the musical ring, he did put on a performance deserving some Grammy with his new “Watch Me Reign” 11 track collection Album that is an unforgettable musical expedition that is pleasing to the ears and stakes its worth as a stunningly curated and designed artistic collection that has all the qualities of your favorite and top Billboard hits!
The “Intro” serves as a proper introduction to the album with its nostalgic southern type of beat and the reminiscent hypnotic vibe that is culturally satisfying and surmises what the album is all about. The decorated introduction of Superstar LL COOL J properly introducing AL COIN and his music and paying tribute to their hometown Queens is the perfect popcorn-grabbing Hollywood moment! “Forbidden Fruit” did intrigue me with the way AL COIN achieves a tradeoff between singing in R&B-kind of style and flourishing with his sporty flows and extravagant bars, his wealthy voice slinking through with so much ease that is astonishing in all aspects. The track has all the high-standard qualities of a certified club R&B/Hip-hop with the splashy instruments making sure a listener is heavily invested from the start to the end.
“Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner” is another track that did pique my interest with its explicit nature and playfully intricate melody fused astoundingly to skim through its rough-riding naturally occurring melody and enjoying the backing of two dynamic and versatile lyrical gods AL COIN and Luxury Dutch who gives the track its rhythmic edge with his talented vocals that share in the glory of the track captivatingly. It’s hard to pick out a favorite for tracks such as “The Chop” which he featured Izzy, “The Signs”, and “Twisted” featuring Pop severe including “So Cool” “Make Love” and “Nana” all have something that makes them uniquely different from each other leaving a listener in a state of a conundrum. Worrying yourself not for this is the kind of conundrum you want to be faced with and it is not entirely a crime to love all of the tracks either. “Watch Me Reign” is available on all digital platforms and you better make a claim of the reign by streaming it, saving it to your favorites, and sharing it as we eagerly wait for whatever AL COIN has in store for us next!
