Afrococoa is a musical live band based in Minsk, Belarus that is fronted by Nigerian-born and raised Osagie Ojea.  This musical savvy introduced the African culture and way of life in Europe and this band celebrates the diversity and spirituality from the social posts, you can tell they have created that unbreakable bond and indestructible chemistry between them that is so admirable and appropriate for their kind of music style that amalgamates afrobeat with soulful jazz and classic soul not forgetting the shades of Amapiano and other quality danceable sound to curate a broad-ranging sound that represents an extensive faction of listeners from all over the world.

Their much anticipated 4th studio album, “Omoba II” is finally out and is everything a listener expected it to be; comprehensive not only in themes but also in melody and performance. No stone was left untouched and the heartfelt performances throughout are heart-melting, to say the least. This is a global representation in symphony- there is everything for everyone; the rich African history through liberation, the party-inspired tunes, and the soulful, chilled, and danceable ones- you name it. This album has got you covered in more ways than you could ever imagine!

“Japa” is a moving piece of euphony that features dedicated performances from the band and equally glorious beats that have not been overdone and follow a certain adorable pattern flawlessly with the symphonious voices and the baritone male ones designing an intriguing vocal sound that is in perfect sync to the melody. This one will delight your ears and you will find yourself playing it all over again to savor such magic!

“Fenty Beauty” is a lively and stunningly electric-defined pop sound that blends afro-fused cadence and soulful performances to detail a sound you wouldn’t mind losing your body to. It is absolutely sensational and I for once wouldn’t mind my phone ringing to such a ringtone. Not that you don’t already know but anything associated with Rihanna always turns out to be indescribably beautiful and this is no different!

“Libѐrtѐ” echoes the freedom the African people fought for from the shackles of colonization and slavery and celebrates that liberation in a captivating way with the way the band offers its listener a staggering live-imagined performance with the lead vocals engaging in an echo-like stunner with themselves and the backing ones following in with purity and character. The adoption of the Swahili word, “Hakuna Matata” which translates to “There is no problem” was a nice touch and extra detail that complements the theme impeccably well!

“Born Again” is extensive and an exceptional charmer that is melodically immeasurable- fusing the alluring groove of afro beats and the high-vitality of the Amapiano feel that is synonymous with South African music, this tune does not miss on its feel-good type of vibe. This is also a perfect tune to practice legwork as you move and dance wildly and euphorically to the beats like no one’s watching! The energy, character, and vibe are absolutely matchless and pull a listener in and infect them with a certain inexpressible exotic feeling.

You will absolutely love even the other tracks such as; “African Party”, “Sankofa”, “Mamasita- Live”, “Wanda” and Yehkelemesi”. This band is absolutely destined for colossal greatness since there is outrightly no limit to their flair and artistic freedom making them a unique and culturally diverse musical band- not so many exist by the way!
